Questions about the tools
Are the tools really free?
Yes. There is nothing to pay and no account to create. The store audit asks for an email address only if you want the full list of findings.
What do the tools do with the sites I enter?
They read only the public pages of the site, the way a visitor’s browser does, and show you the result. The detector, comparison and meta preview do not save the sites you check. The checklist and the redirect generator run entirely in your browser.
Which tool should I start with?
To understand a store you do not know, start with the website detector. To find problems in your own Shopify store, run the store audit. Before a launch, use the checklist; before a migration, the redirect generator.
Who builds these tools?
They are built and maintained by Md. Habibur Rahman, Lead, Technical Experience Engineer at ParseLab LLC, from the questions Shopify merchants ask most often.
