Terms, disclaimer and editorial policy

This is a personal website by Md. Habibur Rahman. It holds Shopify guides, a few free tools and some notes about my work. This page says how the guides are written, what you can and cannot rely on, and the rules for using the site. How visits are counted is in the privacy notice.

Who writes this site

Every guide is written by me. I work as a Shopify technical support engineer, so most guides come from problems I have seen and fixed on real stores, with customer details removed. There is no ghost writer and no guest posting. My background is on the About page.

How the guides are written and checked

  • I write from hands-on work first, then check the details against Shopify's official documentation, which I link to in the guide.
  • Steps that change a store are written so you can try them safely: on a duplicate theme, with a backup, one change at a time.
  • A guide shows its published date, and an Updated date when I change it in a meaningful way.
  • Shopify changes often. If a screen or a setting has moved, tell me and I will update the guide.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, an out-of-date step or a broken link, email [email protected]. I fix real errors and update the date. Please say which page and which sentence.

Independence and disclosures

  • This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify or any other company named in a guide. Shopify and other names are trademarks of their owners.
  • I work at ParseLab LLC, which makes Shopify apps (InkyBay, Optionia and StoreAids). The opinions here are mine, not my employer's. When a guide covers a ParseLab product, the guide says so near the top.
  • If I am ever paid or given something for a guide, the guide will say so. Advertising is explained below.

Advertising

The site may show ads from Google AdSense. Ads are placed by Google and are never part of a guide's advice. Being an advertiser does not buy a mention, a better review or a change to what I write. Ads and cookies are described in the privacy notice.

Information, not professional advice

Everything here is general information for learning. It is not legal, security, financial or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for a developer or agency who can look at your own store.

  • Try before you trust. Test on a duplicate theme or a development store before changing a live store, and keep a backup.
  • Your store is different. Themes, apps and settings vary, so a step that worked for me may not work for you.
  • Security notes change quickly. For vulnerabilities and fixes, check the vendor's own advisory before acting.

The free tools

The store audit, the website detector and the other tools are free to use. They read public information and give estimates and hints, not guarantees. A tool can be wrong, out of date or unable to read a page, so check anything important yourself. Only enter addresses and data you have the right to test, and do not use the tools to overload or attack a site.

No warranty and limits of liability

The site, the guides and the tools are provided as they are, without any promise that they are complete, correct or always available. To the extent the law allows, I am not responsible for losses that come from using them, such as lost sales, lost data or a broken store. Nothing here limits any right you have under the law that cannot be limited.

Using the content

The text, images and tools on this site are mine unless a page says otherwise. You are welcome to quote short passages with a link back to the page. Please do not copy a whole guide or republish it as your own. If you want to translate or reuse a guide, ask first at [email protected].

Links to other sites

Guides link to official documentation and other sites. I do not control them and I am not responsible for what they say or do.

Changes

I may update this page. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
